Living a life when you’re expressing your passion all the time isn’t always easy. Sometimes it requires reinventing yourself. It means asking some hard questions, like what about my life do I love, what parts don’t enthuse me anymore and what are the specific gifts am I compelled to share just now?
In reading an article from Forbes about creating an effective bio, this author William Arruda asked the question, What do you do better than anyone else? as a way to form your personal statement. That got me thinking. What DO I do better than anyone else?
When you get to the place in your life where you know you must attend to your spirit, where do you go? Often traditional religion is not the answer, so where can you devote your heart to listening to the messages of Spirit? Many people do it alone, but it is a challenging journey and having mighty companions [...]
Years ago a woman suggested that winter was a time for candles and she really welcomed the darkness. Now that I live so far north, I understand. We lose the actual sun on our house behind the mountain at 12:49pm the last day of December. That means shadows and reflections all afternoon til it is pitch dark by 4.
This winter I will be offering a workshop based on some clear and practical methods of drawing to you the life you want. It is called Tools for Reprogramming your Life and first stop is Michigan in January. Then Seattle in February and hopefully the Denver area in March.
There is so much misunderstanding about the Law of Attraction, about setting goals and intentions, about the difference between what the conscious and the non-conscious mind’s role is in co-creating. This workshop [...]
Last week a group of six adventurous individuals began the 18 month Spiritual Vision Quest program. These were no newbies to the personal growth process, yet after just a few short days, I heard comments like, “This is not just another program!” The difference is that it challenges every core belief you have and trips every wire that activates the inner fear/protection of shining too brightly! It takes great courage to face all THAT!! Here are the brave ones!

This last week a group of serious (well, committed) spiritual beings collected for their third intensive here at Spirit Vision Retreat center. It was a fabulous week. Amidst the joy and laughter was gentle and not so gentle growth, shifting perceptions (again!) and opportunities for seeing each other as spirit would~ with unconditional acceptance and love. What a blessing that there are people in this busy, chaotic world committed to putting spirit in charge daily! Thank you, how grateful I [...]
Can you believe summer is almost over? What did you do? Who did you become? What choices did you make that were outside your comfort zone? Did you accept a challenge? Did you face a fear? Did you read a good book? Are you different than when the summer began and if so, how? READ MORE...2 COMMENTS
Each year I feel compelled to offer a camp for young teens. And half way through, I ask myself, Julie, WHY? But it wasn’t til the end of the week this year that I remembered the answer! A challenging group, difficult to merge, all beautiful young women with wonderful attributes and big hearts, they ALL seemed to want to hide them. It didn’t matter how gorgeous or how talented, how expressive or how sweet, they were playing small for the [...]
Ed just put up a Facebook page for our novel – The Untidy Witness. We hope you’ll take a look and post any comments. We’ll also post updates for the next one – The Untimely Coincidence as it develops. Enjoy!
Every day it is a challenge to keep your space above the common denominator of chaos. 7 billion people are all experiencing something different, changing moment to moment. The mixture of all those emotions, responses, thoughts and feelings is chaos. Just like when you blend all the colors together, you get brown.
There are some moments that mark your childhood as hallmark events and summer camps happen to be among those. This camp I offer for young girls is one of those times for me still! I figure if you can’t go back and live it again, you can recreate it now!
Last week the vibration of the planet was raised by a group of soulful individuals doing their own personal work. It was joyful, profound, fun, introspective, active, inspiring, transformative…blissful! The Spiritual Vision Quest 5 group met for their second intensive and we are all the better for it.
A small group of intensely loving and devoted spirits got even smaller this week, returning after 6 months, with one less devotee. They are one year into the Spiritual Vision Quest program and owning the principles of spirit~ unity, community and love and sharing their tools and gifts with others. What a joyful and delicious experience!
Some of you have already felt it, but the winds of transformation are blowing and 2014 promises one thing: Change. Not sure what it will look like for each person, but I guess that depends upon where you are living in your own personal integrity, your purpose, or who is captaining your ship. In order to insure that this year will bring what you desire, be sure and send your Love Scouts (see The Mask, the Mirror and the Illusion, [...]
One of the most joyful parts of my schedule is when I visit the 4th grade at Kootenai Elementary and teach art through a volunteer organization called Kaleidoscope. Last week we made ornaments from watercolor papers they had made in November. I had to take a picture of them, they were so proud. They decided that [...]
